Working In The Studio
The Charleston Center for Photography very generously offered me their studio to work in, which was a perfect working environment. Plenty of space, great lighting equipment, and photographers to record the process. Most of the following pictures were taken by Laura Olsen.

The sketching was mainly done with charcoal. |

Then the color layers were applied using wall-painting brushes. |

It's rare that I use a brush this small; it's really just for very detailed work. |

The final stages of the painting were finished in my own studio. |
